Celebrate Euro 2016 With These Fine French Cocktails

The European Championships are finally here!

Whatever the fate of the Three Lions, the Euros offer the perfect opportunity to kick back and relax and enjoy the summer, which is why thought we’d offer you a little bit of French inspiration for your Euro celebrations and festivities with these simple champagne cocktails.

Rosemary Citrus Champagne

An sparkling, aromatic rosemary and citrus infusion. Makes roughly 8 glasses.

What you’ll need:

  • 10cm sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 can (330ml) of citrus blend juice (orange, lemon etc)
  • 500ml of carbonated water
  • 1 bottle (750ml) of chilled champagne
  • 3 cups of ice for serving

How to make:

  • Place the rosemary and juice into a microwavable bowl and microwave (uncovered) for 7 – 9 minutes. Remove bowl from microwave.
  • Use a strainer to strain the juice from the bowl into a large mixing jug. Slowly add in the carbonated water and champagne to avoid over fizzing. Add in the ice and stir and serve!

Red Mimosa

A sweet twist on the classic Mimosa. Makes one glass.

What you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup of champagne
  • 1/3 cup of fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon of grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

How to make:

  • Pour the champagne into a small wine glass along with the orange juice, grenadine and lemon juice.
  • The grenadine will typically settle at the bottom of the glass. So add in a stirrer so that guests can mix up the flavour and then serve
