What Is rPET Recycled Plastic?
rPET is recycled PET and is the most common recycled plastic.
The majority of water and fizzy drinks bottles are made from PET and are the source for recyclers. The used bottles are collected, cleaned, and formed back into plastic pellets and are remanufactured into many different products.
Properties For Food Packaging
Products made from rPET are fully recyclable and have the same quality as virgin PET products. Products that have less than 30% recycled content in the UK will be subject to taxation from April 2022. rPET products with 30% or more recycled content will be exempt from the taxation.
